Karen’s story begins in the quiet, wild beauty of the North Carolina mountains. Long before she was a broker, she was a girl with dirt on her boots, exploring hidden streams and learning the steady, patient art of gardening. In her family’s kitchen, four generations of women taught her that "home" isn’t just a place, it's the soul of how we live, the recipes we pass down, and the hospitality we extend to others.

That mountain-grown work ethic followed her to Texas in 1987. As a student at the University of Texas, Karen spent her weekends at Lake Travis, not just showing houses, but imagining the lives that would be built within them. This passion evolved into a 39-year career defined by a rare, "in-the-blood" intuition for real estate. Whether she was collaborating with builders on a new development's first blueprint or navigating a high-stakes market, Karen’s drive was undeniable. At the height of her Texas career, she reached a milestone few ever see: closing 150 transactions and $30 million in sales in a single year. The full circle after decades of being a top producer and a recognized leader by the Houston Business Journal, Karen felt the pull of the mountains once again. Returning to North Carolina wasn’t just a move, it was a homecoming.

Today, as a member of the invitation-only Institute of Luxury Home Marketing, Karen offers her clients a unique blend of "big-city" savvy and small-town heart. She doesn't just see a property, she sees the history of the land and the future of a family.

Karen and her husband, Ron, now call Burlingame home, where she serves as President of her condo association and remains a fierce advocate for her community.
